During the 208th Annual Speech Day at Penang Free School, Dr Tan Gaik Cheng, was the guest of honour, speaking as the Former Student Representative. Dr Tan Gaik Cheng is the daughter of Dato’ Tan Boon Lin. She also announced the launching of Dato’ Tan Boon Lin’s autobiography and presented a copy of the book to the Governor.
At the Old Frees Association annual dinner that evening, Dr Tan gave a speech on occasion of the book launch.
